The Gilbert Family Wines is a boutique wine label by fifth generation winemaker Simon Gilbert. His son Will, who helped out in the cellar since the age of 10, has now made his entry to the family vineyard, as the sixth generation wine maker. Artisans of elegant cool climate wines, their ethos is simple, wise winemaking with fresh appeal. This lovely sparkling wine is created from Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, each variety handpicked separately at optimum ripeness. Bright, vibrant, crisp and flavoursome, displays lifted perfume of strawberry and apple with underlying cracked yeast and dry biscuit aromas. Complex, balanced and dry, with a fine bead.
